- Introduction
-
- This is a simple one or two player game, based on the classic 'PONG'.
- The major difference, however, is that, whereas in pong you return the
- ball to your opponant by bouncing it off your bat, in Deflekt, you repel
- it!
-
- Playing the game.
-
- The game can be played in one or two player modes. I will explain these
- seperatly.
-
- One Player Mode.
-
- In this mode you must have a mouse plugged into the normal mouse port.
- To start playing, click the left mouse button. You will be presented with
- an option asking you to select the computer player's inteligence level.
- Do this by pressing the left mouse button until your chosen level is
- displayed, then click the right mouse button.
-
- Once the game has started, you will see a white line down the centre of
- the screen, a square 'ball' in the middle, and to bats on the left and
- right of the screen. At the bottom are each player's lives.
-
- To score a point you must as in the original Pong, make the ball go off
- the screen on your opponant's side. To make the ball move, you must repel
- it. To do this, simply press your left mouse button, and move the mouse.
- The ball will then move off away from your bat, and your bat will shrink
- in size. The size represents how much power you have, if you have more
- power then you can repel the ball further and harder, and as time passes,
- if you release the mouse button, your power recovers.
-
- Two Player Mode.
-
- This is basically identical to the one player game, except your opponant
- is annother player, using a second mouse in port two (the joystick port).
- To start a two player game then player two must click his / her left
- mouse button on the title screen.
